When was the last time you were still? With so many responsibilities, actors, activities, and associations pulling you in different directions, it’s hard to find a quiet moment.
But God’s message is as clear today as it was when David sang his song,
“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
It may be 2 AM when you find that quiet moment long after others have retired to bed. Or it may be during a 15-minute break during the madness at midday.
You may find your stillness on a rock or beside a flowing stream. You may find it in the comfort of your favorite easy chair.
But God is with you in your stillness and contemplation of the “I AM,” God is with you. During these moments of serenity, you gain renewed strength, new energy, and new vitality for the opportunities that lie ahead.
