God is Still in Charge

Isn’t it good to know that God is still in charge? So then, no matter what, we can have inner peace and confidence, knowing everything is well in uncertain times.

I look out the window and see birds going about their daily rituals. It’s as if they have the inner assurance that “God takes care of the birds of the air.” Matthew 26:1 (NIV)

They seem to have a steadfast spirit that glides them along...effortlessly...from one task to another. A simple life filled with joy and contentment.

As we go about our busy...sometimes frantic lives...we can stop and take note of the birds.

When I do this, I am reminded of

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast Spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing Spirit, to sustain me.” Psalm 51:10-12,

May God grant you a steadfast spirit knowing that He will take care of you as He does the birds of the air.
