Reflections of the Faithful: An Invitation to Write with Us
"Reflections of the Faithful" is a Christian writing ministry open to all on-fire believers and lukewarm Christians alike. Our "soul" purposes within this aspect of Off The Bench Ministries include:
Accepting the Message
Christian writers are each given by God a unique series of messages which dwell in our hearts, mind, and spirit. These messages change, develop, and expand as we mature in our walk with Christ.
"I will stand on my guard post. And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, and how I may reply when I am reproved. Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run." Habakkuk 2:1-2
Cultivating the Message
Through prayer, encouragement, fellowship, and discipleship, each Christian writer cultivates the inspiration of the message within.
"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Proverbs 12:18
Reflecting the Message
God does not expect us to keep His messages; instead, He has blessed us with unique skills, abilities, and talents to touch others with His message through our writings. At the moment, some may not be aware they possess these blessings. But they do - we all do! Remember: it is His message that He is inspiring Christian writers to write.
And He said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old." Matthew 13:52
This Christian writing ministry is all about faith. We must believe that God wants to use His scribes to reach those who need His message. We are not responsible for who receives the message or how they receive it. We are simply doing our part by reflecting His word and having faith that it will change the lives of others. And, in doing so, God smiles, and our walk with Him continues.
Is God calling you to write? If so, we invite you to write for and about our Lord here with us! Please send us a message. We would love to publish your "Reflections of the Faithful." You are welcome here, loved, and irreplaceable!
